Lapiro de Mbanga, Cameroonian musician and political activist, who many believe was sent to prison following trumped up charges against him, is now a free person after spending three years in prison.

What was Mbanga arrested for? From what I have read from the post, he reminds me a lot of Fela Kuti, who was also a musician and political activist. They both seem to have encountered some run- ins with the law because of their work.
