A brilliant piece by one of Africa's foremost political scientists, Uganda's Mahmood Mamdani, develops a new reading of recent events in Egypt and how they connect to the rest of Africa. This is a truly Africentric reading that flies in the face of much of the analyses that is being done by the Western media and pundits.
