First of all, I was not expecting a display of modern art. I think I was expecting the slide show to be of places or people. The piece that I liked the best was the "Cratefan", or the man made from coca-cola crates sitting on what looks like a pier at the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront. While the statue itself it not spectacularly beautiful, it represents the beauty of South Africa hosting the Word Cup last year. People of every country in Africa were joined together as Africans in support of the monumental event. Sports can serve as great unifiers and football (the real kind) may be one of the best. Beautiful Table Mountain is in the back of the picture of the Cratefan and stands as another representation of the beauty in South Africa.

My vote would be either for the Mapungubwe interpretation or the Dreams for Africa chair!
