It is being reported that Libyan-Americans are returing to Libya to join the fight against Gaddafi.

I think this is incredibly important and i fully support those going back to fight. America was founded by people who thought that their government was unjust and i think that we should support all those fighting for their freedom. Its obvious that the american government isn't going to fight so i think the responsibility falls on american citizens to take up arms for this cause.
It will be interesting to see the impact that this has on the situation in Libya. Perhaps this could become a reverse brain-drain if many professionals who left Libya and returned to help with the revolution would end up staying there to continue to bring about change. It is wonderful to see Libyan-Americans taking an active interest and role in the current situation of their country.
Having Libyan-(insert nationality)'s retrn to their homeland for the fighting is powerfully inspirig. Their rationality and knowledge can go a long way in furthering the rebels goals. External influence is all Africans will attribute causation to, so maybe this is boding well for 'external influence' as a concept.
