What To Watch For In Africa In the Coming Days And Weeks And . . . .

1. What is happening to Nelson Mandela? Update: Mandela out of hospital.

2. What is happening in Egypt and Tunisia?

3. What is happening in Ivory Coast, Gabon, and Sudan?

4. Will the revolts in the north spread to other regions of the continent as already seems to be the case?

5. Is this the decade of Africa's second liberation (liberation from strong men?)

These are exciting times!

It is sad to see that Mandela's health is declining so rapidly. Although he is 92 years old, obviously the country will mourn when he passes. It will be interesting to see how the continent of Africa will move past his death and absence to the country. Im sure there are new great leaders who will soon show how they can help lead the continent toward improvement and progress.

Its crazy that as i write this blog comment there are people fighting and revolting. The things that are going on in egypt are absolutely amazing. The military and civilians fighting against the government and police!
