Only One African Coach at the 2010 Soccer World Cup in South Africa

In spite of the fact that African coaches have won the soccer world cup at the Under-17 and Under-20 levels, very few of them have been allowed by the powers that be to lead their countries to the major world cup tournament. African countries have tended to rely on European coaches. And for the world cup in South Africa this year, there will be only one African coach - the coach of the Algerian team.
