A recent ranking of world universities include some African universities. It is interesting to note that the first university on the continent is ranked 324th in the world - and that is the University of Cape Town. The University of Yaounde 1, where yours truly had his undergraduate degree, is ranked 83rd in Africa and 6,387 in the world. We have our work cut out for us.
